As an industry association of international medical coordination providers, we develop, revise, maintain, and manage guidelines that serve as principles of action for promoting safe travel for those who wish to come to Japan for medical treatment.
In order to accept patients from other countries, it is necessary to fully understand patient's needs based on their wishes and provide necessary medical care in smooth cooperation with medical institutions in Japan. For this purpose, the role of international medical coordinators is needed, and therefore, we aim to establish a certification system for them.
We plan to share information and hold seminars or workshops concerning international medical coordination overall with the focus on guarantor organizations for medical stay visas. It is also planned to hold seminars on international medical coordinator certification.
